Okay to preface, when I was in 7th grade and 12 years old I would watch VHI and wait for them to play and re-play Bryan Adams's (Everything I do) I do it for you (mind you this was 1994-1995 and the song was about 4 years old, but still) and dream of my crush and swear that the day I got married my future husband and I would dance to this as our first song. Well eventually the years went by and I, alas did marry and did not dance to (Everything I do) I do it for you, but it still gives me that 7th grade me that special feeling (sad I know). Also the guitar solo in the middle of the song always makes me bust out my air guitar (c'mon, you know you do it too).
P.S. How awesome is the bad-assery that is Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham in this video. 7th grade me still gets goosebumps when Robin Hood crashes through the window and save Maid Marion as she is being attacked. Embarrassed to say I still swoon at this... geesh.

Georgia on my mind
We went back to Georgia last week, we had a beautiful time visiting family and eating, eating a lot.
I wish I had take pictures of the actual food we had at the Jekyl Island brunch, but I was in too much of a rush to eat. Also we stopped by Georgia BBQ institution the Georgia Pig. We had all sorts of goodies there. Again in such a rush to shove food in my mouth that I didn't take pictures, another reason I started this blog (remember to enjoy the small stuff). Although I wasn't a big fan of the actual BBQ, I LOVED their banana cream pudding (Gosh, I wish I had some right now).
I'm doing some strange flamingo pose here. I don't know.
Now this picture wasn't taken at the Georgia Pig, but it was taken in Georgia. Apparently the fried bologna biscuit was so popular, IT'S BACK! (no offense to those that enjoy fried bologna biscuits).

ACE Summer
Our rental bike infront of the ominous desert mountains
a desert sunset
Our last breakfast at The ACE before hitting the road back home. Feta Cheese and Zucchini frittata and sour cream pancakes.
It's starting to get cold in San Diego, which makes me long for hot summer days. In August we spent a very relaxing weekend in Palm Springs. Although it was about 105 degrees in the shade, I cannot wait to go back and breathe in the heat.

Ciao, bella!
I just got the Free People August 2011 catalog in the mail and I have to say the pictures are adorable. This months catalog was photographed in Venice by Guy Aroch. I just can't get enough of these dreamy, romantic pictures. I always look forward to my monthly free people catalog, because it's styled and photographed so beautifully. The cat masquerade picture is my favorite, even though I'm afraid of cats.

Clouds Up
It's no secret that I'm petrified of the ferris wheel, but my huge fear only intensifies my love of them. Love, in the sense that I love their aesthetic, their colors and their continuous round movement. I hope that this summer I can get over my fear and ride the ferris wheel once agin. Any who, here are some more pictures of the ferris wheel at that San Diego County fair.
