I have dry, thick hair, so I tend to wash my hair once to twice a week. Well, also I'm lazy and my hair takes forever to dry on it's own and it takes me about an hour to blow dry it, which is why I opt out of frequent washes. Although I have thick hair, the roots tend to get a bit oily after day 4, and why deny it the roots also get a bit smelly. But, I still really like how my hair looks when I don't wash it, so for all these reasons I have been on the hunt for the perfect dry shampoo for the last few years and have yet to find one that I actually like using. Here are some of the recent ones I've tried.

I really want to go outside and stop to see your day
Over the weekend we stopped by North Park to have the most delicious oatmeal cookie at Heaven Sent Desserts. Luckily for me there's a cute vintage store next door called Ms. Vintage. The store has the cutest pink walls which are offset by the colorful clothing. Unfortunately I didn't find the batwing dress I was looking for, but I'm planning on going back soon.
Pretty street art.

Drive-in Movies
For the past two weeks Cliff and I have been going to drive-in movie night at The Pearl Hotel. We've been meaning to check out The Pearl Hotel movie night for a few years now, but since its always during a week night, we never managed to make it. That is until, two weeks ago when we decided to have dinner and drinks, as well as watch their screening of Dirty Dancing. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu and let me tell you it was all delicious! My favorite was their cheeseburger dubbed "the best burger in town" and let me tell you they're not exaggerating...it's super yummy. The hotel had a vintage, but modern motel vibe and I love that they screen movies above the pool...we've been back twice since then for more movie and drink nights. So happy to have found a new haunt.
P.S. I read somewhere that their bathrooms have been voted nicest bathrooms in a San Diego restaurant. Well, I took some pictures on my phone and it just doesn't seen like a big deal to me. Other than that no complaints.
Seriously delicious ice cream sundae.

Palm Springs Je t'aime
It's a gloomy morning in San Diego, but here are some sunny and warm Palm Springs pictures from my iphone. I can't get enough of small square pictures and I can't get enough of Palm Springs. Also my charming husband took a small video of me bike riding and turned it in to a lovely loop. Hope everyone is staying warm on dreary winter day.
Well, this picture wasn't taken by me or with my phone. My charming husband took it.

Eating Out...Prep Kitchen
This past Sunday we decided to go back to Little Italy and check out Prep Kitchen. Which we had spotted while we were on our walk last week. I didn't know much about it other than that I loved their huge corner window. I went online and found out that they have a $3.50 tapas happy hour. Only that when it came to drinks their happy hour left much to be desired, they only offer a $5 glass of sangria, no beer, no liquor. Don't get me wrong, their sangria was good, but you can't call that a happy hour. Now, their tapas on the other had were absolutely yummy. We had (in order of yumminess) the patatas bravas (crunchy potato chunks with spicy sauce), bacon wrapped dates (just wow), brussel sprouts with bacon and walnuts, the pork Rillettes and the clams... yeah we were hungry. For dessert we had the banana bread pudding a la mode, this was without a doubt the most delicious bread pudding I have ever had, in fact it was one of the most delicious desserts I've have period. We can't wait to go back and actually have dinner there, they gave us a coupon for free dessert on our next visit (so, yeah were coming back).
