I want to be with you everywhere

The Free People January lookbook was just posted and I am going nuts over it. Obviously, it involves two of my favorites! My favorite brand Free People and my favorite place Palm Springs. Blogger 4th and Bleecker was the chosen model, so jealous. Looking at these lovely pictures of Palm Springs and fun, summery, relaxed, clothes give the itch to go back soon, lucky for me we're heading that way next month. I can't wait, I'm so excited (said a la Kourtney Kardashian monotone). 24255317_102_0 bts6 bts9 Shot_02_221_RT Shot_02_029_RT Shot_03_065_RT Shot_09_134_RT Untitled1 Shot_04_051_RT phots via Free People

Meaningful Beauty...?

After watching countless of Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty infomercials and talking about how one day i'll try it. Cliff just went online and ordered me the complete anti-aging system. You see it's not that the stuff is expensive, it's not. The thing is that I'm a devout Olay Regenerist user, but since I had a Meaningful Beauty kit on the way I decided why not try it. The kit arrive about two weeks ago and I've been using it as instructed since then. The complete anti-aging system includes a skin softening cleanser, an antioxidant day cram with SPF 20, anti-aging night cream, lifting eye cream and firming chest and neck cream. According to the informercial and their website Meaningful Beauty is supposed to help smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. add radiance and brighten your complexion, preserve skin's existing youthful vibrancy, protect skin from environmental aggression and free radical damage. Basically I want it to smooth the appearance of my frown lines a.k.a the 11's that appear between your eyebrows. I'm in my late twenties so unfortunately wrinkle prevention and erasing has become a big part of my beauty regimen. So far I have not noticed a difference in my frown lines... they're still there and I hate them. I'm ending week two of my Meaningful Beauty challenge, we'll see what happens by week five.
There are my 11's :( I will say that Meaningful Beauty leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. What is don't like is that it takes a while for the cream to fully absorbe into your skin, so I have to wait at least 30 minuted before I put in my make-up. Also, I'm unsure as to how I feel about the Meaningful Beauty eye cream. It's supposed to improve the appearance of puffiness, dark circles and crow's feet, but so far no big difference.

Eating Out

Cliff and I are big homebodies, it takes a lot of work to get us out of the house past 8 o'clock. Last night we had our first 9 p.m. dinner, like mature, young urbanites (although we're technically young suburbanites). We had reservations for 9:15 p.m. at Cucina Urbana. We had tried coming to Cucina Urbana on two separate occasions, but we had no luck without a reservation. We arrived at 8:50 in order to have drinks at the bar. Being a huge fan of Moscow Mules I decided to try their Tequila Mule, with jalapeno infused tequila (Tequila and Jalapenos in one drink, sign me up!). Let me tell you the drink did not disappoint, in fact it's my new favorite drink, yum yum. Unfortunately we were not seated until 9:35, but the manager was kind enough to comp our drinks because or our wait. I don't hold it against them, it was restaurant week and the place was packed. I must say I felt very grown-up starting dinner past 9:30. Any who, it goes with out saying that the food was delicious. One of my new year resolutions was to eat less red meat, so I opted for the seafood options instead for the veal and short ribs. I'm happy to say my shrimp puttanesca was wonderful, with a hint of capers. I can't wait to go back and try their pizzas and another tequila mule (or two).
Tequila Mule
parmesean fries
truffle parmesan fries
My entree spicy shrimp puttanesca angel hair
Cliff's entree pan seared pacific cod
My appetizer ricotta gnudi (fried balls of ricotta cheese, so yum!)
Enjoying the delicious Tequila Mule (highly recommend)

Happy New Year... from Palm Springs

Cliff and I right after midnight <3 IMG_0414
Enjoying the festivities with my dear friend, Jeannette.
The Ace handed out Kazoos and noise makers. Somehow the noise makers sounded a lot louder when I used then at home.
The Amigo Room bar fully stocked with Stone and the bear.
Breakfast new years day
We had a fantastic time at the Ace Hotels End of the World party, they had a party hat making station... that seriously rose the bar for any future new years eve party. Cliff and I love it at the Ace and when we heard they were having a NYE party we high tailed our booties there! The weather was perfect, 80-75 degrees all weekend. I can't wait to go back to Palm Springs, it's super magical.
